The Washington Child Development Council supports families in making educated child care choices through resource and referral counseling. It provides training and technical assistance to child care centers and family child care home providers to ensure they are providing developmentally appropriate care for children.

Obstacles
The communication challenges faced
The group needed a fresher and more current look to attract potential clients to their wide range of program offerings. WCDC desired new brochures featuring a message and text that spoke directly to whom they served.

Solution
The steps and solution taken by the CreateAThon team
Two separate brochures were designed to target each of the two audiences in specific ways. Intriguing images of small children were selected to convey the importance of quality childcare and draw the brochure reader into the key phrases featured in the designs.
